Вчера вот увидел ясные очертания одних идиотов, а сегодня выпало увидеть идиотов с другой стороны. На форуме болельщиков Шарков тусуется один чувак, бывший тюремщик из Калифорнии, который съебал оттуда в Южную Каролину, как только вышел на пенсию. Он действительно честный консерватор, Don't tread on me, дети в ВМФ и морпехоте, любит свой трактор и свое ружье и т.д. Но вчера в разговоре:

Он - Any and all gains Republicans make now through the mid term elections will go up in smoke if they’re stupid enough to nominate Trump again.

Я - Well, the likes of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan would be better, wouldn't they?

Он - I want a POTUS who doesn’t do stuff that I punished my eight year old boys for…

Я - You avoid answering the question for some obscure reason.

Он - I didn’t realize that was a question. Don’t care for Romney but I’ll take Ryan over Trump for sure. 

Я - Ryan is the younger and more ruthless version of Romney.

Он - I’ll take just about anyone over Trump. He’s a rude, narcissistic, egomaniac with the emotional control/intelligence of a puppy. And I never agree with the “ends justify the means” in politics…so even though I agree with Trump on probably 90% of his policies, that is why I, and many other conservatives, will never vote for him. 

 

Этот же человек год назад сказал мне, что у него есть много знакомых в Аризоне, которые никогда не будут голосовать за Трампа, потому что тот по-хамски усомнился в героизме Маккейна.

 

Впечатление таково, что довольно много людей в возрасте 60-70 лет до сих пор живут в какой-то иллюзии выпусков новостей, читаемых Уолтером Кронкайтом, которая диктует их преференции.
