Слишком умная печка

Прочитал тут о выступлении министра ВМФ Джона Филана на слушаниях в Сенатском Комитете Вооружённых Сил. В числе прочего он сообщил о своём визите на борт новейшего авианосца "Джеральд Форд" (про которыйо я уже как-то писал). "Прикиньте," сказал он, "там на камбузе восемь печей, но из них работало только две. Почему, там же подают 15,300 порций в день?! Оказалось, что по контракту ремонтировать поломки этого оборудования можно только ~~членам профсоюза~~ представителям изготовителя – у них там, понимаешь, интеллектуальная собственность! И ладно печки, но там же есть ещё лифты для подъёма бомб из складов на палубу, так их четыре года отлаживали, потому что опять же на каждый чих надо было вызывать спецов от изготовителя. Это при том, что у нас на флоте своих умельцев полно. Вот это вы называете максимальной боеготовностью?"

Слава Богу, в апреле этого года министр обороны Пит Хегсет опубликовал указание вооружённым силам всячески избегать контрактов с такими требованиями. Также в Конгрессе имеется законопроект сделать такие условия вообще нелегальными для армейских контрактов (подан сенатором Лиз Уоррен от Массачусеттса, кстати), но пока воз и ныне там.

UPD: Демократы хотят превентивно Трампу запретить. Как сказали бы наши друзья, демократы играют на стороне Ирана! Подозреваю, однако, что на Иран им плевать, им надо, чтобы у Трампа не дай бог что-нибудь бы не получилось. Израиль заявил, что в случае провала операции "Народ Льва", которая подразумевает полное уничтожение военного потенциала Ирана и осуществление в стране переворота в пользу либерального произраильского прозападного режима, рассматривается альтернативный вариант: операция "Выбор Самсона". Речь идет о использовании ядерного оружия напрямую против Ирана, Йемена, а при необходимости о взрыве грязных бомб в самом Израиле в целях самоуничтожения. Так диктует логика эсхатологического сценария. Все от него отмахиваются, а он-то и действует.

При этом израильские министры грозят нанести ядерные удары и по европейским столицам, если страны ЕС поддержат решение о двух государствах и признают Палестину (а они, по сути, уже признали).

Если израильтяне смогли создать ячейки на территории Ирана и привести их в состояние бое-готовности перед началом операции "Народ Льва", что включало уничтожение военной верхушки Ирана, ведущих ученых и атак на стратегические объекты, а ранее заминировать все электронные предметы на территории Ливана, контролируемой Хезболлой, а также уничтожить шейха Насраллу и верхушку Хезболлы (вместе с тысячами гражданских) , то что они могли подготовить на территории других стран, дружественных или нейтральных к Израилю, просто трудно представить.

Поэтому операция "Выбор Самсона" может стать настоящим концом света.

Израиль для многих сегодня открывается с неожиданной стороны. Евреи воспринимались десятилетиями и больше того "невинными жертвами". Этот образ необратимо поменялся. Сегодня Израиль это нечто страшное, жестокое, безжалостное и отбросившее какие бы то ни было намеки на гуманизм. Это скорее образа ада на земле, нечеловеческой фанатичной жестокости и бешеной агрессивности. Раньше их жалели, теперь стали бояться. Или просто открыто ненавидеть.

В США уже необратимо произошел раскол в MAGA. Подавляющее большинство трампистов прямо выступает против участия США в войне с Ираном на стороне Израиля. Даже Илон Маск делает осторожные знаки в своей соцсети, ставшей главной платформой для MAGA, что и он против. Но пока косвенно.
А тем временем представители Демпартии приступили к политическому террору, и один из организаторов протестных акций "Нет Царям!" сегодня прицельно расстрелял двух сенаторов от Миннесоты с их семьями — Мелиссу Хортман с мужем и Джона Хоффмана с женой. Мелисса Хортман с мужем убиты, Хофмана с женой тяжело ранены. Протестующие по всей Америке несут лозунги "86 47", что на кодовом языке значит "Убить 47 Президента США". Все идет по сценарию Гражданской войны

При этом Пакистан выступил с заявлением, что в случае ядерной атаки со стороны Израиля по Ирану, Исламобад задействуют свое ядерное оружие и нанесет удар по Израилю. А Саудовская Аравия прямо поддержала Иран со своей стороны.

Политические причины убийств официально пока не декларируются, но гадать тут не приходится. Обе жертвы - демократы, так что убийца с высокой степенью вероятности окажется правым. Возможно, конечно, всякое: кто-то рассказывает, например, что и Хортман, и Хоффман в поисках компромисса голосовали с республиканцами за последний бюджет, из которого выкинули какие-то там расходы на нелегалов, что сильно обозлило левых; бог весть, правда это или нет. Если убийца правый, это станет известно очень быстро. Если левый, с манифестом будут такие же проблемы, как с манифестом расистки-транса, которая убивала детей в школе в Нэшвилле. Предполагаю, что окажется из правых, и это очень плохо. Тем не менее, дебилы есть везде. Надеюсь хотя бы, что у него не будет восторженных фанатов как у какого-нибудь Манджоне.

Крайне грустно это все.

Из зала суда

Пока собирался написать, что федеральный судья все-таки вынес запрошенный Ньюсомом TRO, временно запретив Трампу командовать Нацгвардией, Девятый Апелляционный суд это решение остановил, вернув контроль Трампу - опять же временно. Следующий раунд - во вторник. Федеральный судья вместе с TRO еще мораль Трампу прочитал; останавливает ли решение Апелляционного суда заодно действие прочитанной судьей морали?

Интересно все-таки, нет ли какого общедоступного трекера всех этих бесчисленных дел. А то все новости по этим поводам в разных местах согласно требуемому нарративу. Скажем, по этому делу NYT мне прислал срочный заголовок про первую инстанцию, а про вторую не прислал, это им уже не срочно, и пришлось про это узнавать отсюда - где, в свою очередь, про первую инстанцию вчера ничего вроде не было.

Забавно - Царев пишет, что заявление российского МИДа по поводу Ирана похоже на рекомендацию Ирану соглашаться на условия США. Руссо-пропагандисто сходятся на том, что удары были нанесены с ведома и одобрения Трампа, реакцией же своего начальства несколько разочарованы - такие были друзья с Ираном, и вот поди ж ты.

Трамп написал, что предупреждал Иран - надо договариваться, а то будет плохо. Теперь, значит, опять надо договариваться, а то будет еще хуже. Пока не поздно большими буквами.

Иран, однако, из переговоров выходит. Опять, стало быть, посылают лузера Трампа в жопу.

Снова здорово

Демократы опять решили сделать иммиграцию главным фронтом борьбы с Трампом. В левой ленте много красивых текстов о зверствах ICE, вроде вот этого - "Trump is frustrated by his own success on immigration". Там куча анекдотов про эти самые зверства, без подробностей и ссылок ("reportedly", "allegedly" и т.д.).

Under Joe Biden, ICE had generally refrained from raiding schools, churches, and hospitals. Now it is reportedly arresting new mothers in maternity wards and then denying them their right to legal counsel.

Most alarmingly, some ICE agents have allegedly embraced violent and unconstitutional tactics, according to the Journal’s report. A union organizer for Washington farmworkers was driving his wife to her job at a tulip farm, when ICE agents stopped him, smashed in his car windows, and pulled him from the vehicle, all without showing badges or identification. A Russian man with a pending asylum case was reporting for his scheduled check-in at an ICE office, when a team of agents arrested him and then allegedly beat him.

Кроме того, там присутствует совершенно восхитительный по наглости пассаж про то, что Трамп расстроен, потому что не может догнать Байдена по числу депортированных - Байден, мол, депортировал гораздо больше, а Трамп не может, потому что приток нелегалов остановился. Это они про то, что некоторые демократы до сих пор используют специально для этого изготовленную говностатистику, где за депортации выдавался простой разворот абитурента на границе.

Уровнем исполнения это все напоминает палестинскую пропаганду, даже не русскую. Может работать только при совершенно слепой готовности поверить в такие вещи.

Нынешнее воспаление иммиграционной темы (слева воспаление, я имею в виду, справа-то тема давно больная, только наоборот) напомнило мне разговоры восьмилетней давности, когда Трамп в первый раз попытался вернуть иммиграцию в разумные рамки. Тогда еще много было народу, кто всерьез уверял, что никакой проблемы нет, граница на замке, Трамп фашиствует безо всяких причин, Обама депортировал всех, кого требуется, и вообще нелегалы - наглая ложь могущественной правой пропаганды. Сейчас остатки этой пурги еще есть (вроде этой херни про то, что Байден депортировал больше Трампа), но вообще-то про то, что проблемы с иммиграцией нет, можно услышать только от совсем конченых дебилов. Главный же аргумент остался прежним: противодействовать массовой иммиграции аморально, неважно, легальная она или нет. Аморально не пускать, и аморально выгонять. А если десятки миллионов нелегалов создают тут какие-то проблемы, решить их очень просто: надо сделать нелегалов гражданами, да и всех дел. Единственный моральный вариант, все остальное недопустимо. На мой взгляд, это как был буллшит, так и остался - по причинам, о которых я писал еще тогда. А реальные причины массового завоза нелегалов, сопровождающего этот завоз дикого вранья и свирепой последующей борьбы за их права, которую мы сейчас наблюдаем, лежат в совершенно другой области.

Времена, правда, поменялись, и поллы как бы намекают, что вся эта моральная дымовая завеса особого успеха не имеет. Посмотрим.
