Tasting notes for Walpurgisnacht

cjelliSince I am an alcoholic E-reporter I decided to use
this scene to publish some notes as well in form
of diary.

Staroplzenecky Absinth, made by L'OR SPECIAL DRINKS Ltd.,
Czech Republic.
Ingredients: wormwood, star anise, grain alcohol, sugar, springwater.
20cl bottle 70% alc. vol. for 299 Czech crowns (~ $7)
Color - light green.
Diluted in proportion 1 part of water to 2 parts of absinth, by pouring
water over bricks of sugar in a holed spoon. A small brick of sugar is
added into the glass. Diluted drink received milky streaks which
disappeared later.
Glassware: standard russian small (5cl) vodka shot glass (stopka).
Nose: very catnip-like. Iodine, pharmacy all over.
Taste: magnificent combination of utter bitterness (wormwood) with the
added sugar. The dilution helped to release the sweet notes. Cocoa,
mustard, very sharp drink. Very weird, very devilish.
